Park History and Theme
Lizard Log is situated in Western Sydney’s Hawkesbury Valley and has a long history that dates back to pre-colonial days. The area was historically inhabited by the Wiradjuri people, who used it as a camping ground and trading post.
The name Lizard Log comes from the theme of the park that is designed around the lizards of Western Sydney. You can find many sculptures of lizards throughout the park, and some of the obstacles on the course are even shaped like lizards.
Facilities at Lizard Log
Lizard Log has plenty of facilities to make your time in the park more enjoyable. There are toilets, picnic spots, playgrounds, barbecue pits and plenty of shade. The park also offers guided walks and a campground onsite for visitors who want to stay overnight.

Events & Activities
The Lizard Log playground is designed to seamlessly fit in with the natural landscape while offering exciting features. With a climbing wall, slide, cycling and jogging tracks, balancing beams, giant swings and plenty of sheds available for use, there’s something for everyone here.
What makes this playground even more special are the wood-carved animals that adorn it – all made from timber salvaged from right here in the area! Loop tracks run through the site as well, so scooters and bike riders can also have a great time!
